Throw it all in the Basket!

A little under two months to go and craft land is in full swing. A little birdy told me about Hobby Lobby and in one fail swoop I fell in love. With our stash I got started on some well needed projects...

Lots more crafts coming soon, I have another DIY centerpiece to do. I just finished the invitations so they will be showing up next!

Will you be my Bridesmaid??

It's been a bit since I last blogged. The last couple months have been quite crazy for me outside of the Bridal spectrum. Long story short... I am back on the Bridal path.

One of my newest tasks was to ask the girls that I care so much for, to be in the wedding. I've been in a couple weddings this year and I know how hectic and time consuming it can be as a Bridesmaid. I've been blessed to stand next to gracious, kind Brides.... and I've also been next to latter. Not a fun place to be!
I wanted to start of our "Wedding Season" on a good note and show the women how special they really are to me. I decided to make a little box with each of the girls' names on the outside with a little poem on the inside. I dressed up the boxes with sunflowers and moss to reflect the rustic fall theme we are going with.
I took each of them to the ladie's respected houses while they were at work... they all loved the gift and I was just so happy that they turned out like they did.

Here's what the poem said inside.

There has been talk of who will walk
and stand with me on the big day.

But now is the time, pardon the rhyme,
to put into words what I've to say.

I'm honored to have you as a friend,
I'm lucky in you I can depend.
Our friendship is true, it will never fade,
now will you go the extra mile and be my
Bridesmaid?

There's not much to do, buy a dress buy a shoe.
Calm me down when I start to frown.
Keep the glass full, don't allow any tulle!
Dance all night, right in sight.
Join in the laughter of our special day,
and take having fun seriously,
promise me, ok!

The Dress

This is THE dress!

Since I was able to know the different between pants and dresses I have always dreamed of my bridal dress. Looking at pictures of your mom or family members on their wedding day, if you are like me gave you goose bumps and a surge of excitement knowing one day it would be you in the pictures. A lot of fashions have come and gone since the creation of the wedding gown, different traditions, colors, shapes, adornments, costs
Here it is, my dress. It's official the company faxed me the receipt and it's ORDERED!
I've been searching like crazy since we were engaged in Sept. Online, at stores, nothing seemed to fit what I wanted. But then I came across this and though it was WAY out of my $ range. Luckily Affordable Bridal in Atlanta not only sells Winnie Couture dresses but they had this dress in from another bride that ordered a samply to try on. It was a little higher than we were projecting for my gown but 100% worth it!

I rushed up in time to try it on too and that was it. I felt like a bride. The other dresses were o.k. and I would have been fine with them but there'd always be a twinge of regret for not trying to get the dress of my dreams. I couldn't have asked for anything more

Also good news the veil comes with the dress so I am saving on that.
Winnie Couture Style 8261
Quite possibly the 2nd love of my life!

This is the Davids Bridal version it was cute
but it didn't have the "it" factor. I didn't like the beading and the snow flake look at the ends. It was very close to the winnie one.

All my Pretty Little Things

This is exciting! My first blog. I've been a bit of a lurker on countless blogs since I've begun planning my wedding in October.

This world of sharing is very inspiring. I am a multi-media producer for an equine website, I work a lot on the computer and do a go
od bit of waiting for video to render which gives me a good oppurtunity to blog!

Forgive my spelling errors, I am a child of spell check: )

celebrating the fact that we were almost done
flipping our house.
